My mother was a native American Indian and I was born into a very humble inner city family in East Los Angeles but got an opportunity to attend college through scholarships in competitive gymnastics. I coached gymnastics at the high school level then moved to recreational therapy for abused children finally becoming a child care worker and then a counselor/therapist for at risk youth in various residential treatment centers. In my most recent years, I have moved to a less stressful career by completing computer school and am now working at Cedar Sinai Hospital in the Finance Department.
