- "I feel the word “leap” is indicative of the paradigm shift. It is quite a change to go from viewing society from a capitalist/free market/democracy/consumerism/materialistic point of view, to one that incorporates everything, everyone, every dimension, and Consciousness. This is an internal process, one that you can go thru without taking any “outward” society-facing steps at all. But the way you view the world is utterly and completely different…those who have been thru a “spiritual awakening” process (particularly a rapid one, as can often happen during periods of extreme grief/stress/other emotions, or after immersing oneself in learning) can come out “on the other side” wondering how in the world their view of the world was so incredibly tunnel-vision before. That’s a leap. […]"View
- "I talked with a client today who is brilliant with his money. He knows how it works. He is very mindful of how he spends it and where and when to invest it. He’s very aware of his ROI and understands adages like “It takes money to make money” and “Make your money work for you”. He loves working with money and observing it’s impact on his life and those around him. Money is not a “problem” for him. How refreshing. So why would a guy like that be seeking out my services? Because along the way he discovered another adage about money, “Money can’t buy happiness”. Today, while we were discussing what “Happiness” is for him and how he can generate more of it, we hit on a subject (and another adage) that completely altered his perspective: “Time is Money” Time is a “problem” for this person. For one thing, there’s never enough of it. We started to talk about Time Management and calendars and like most people with Time Issues he bristled at the idea’s of tracking Time. However, when I re-framed the concept along the lines of “Think about your Time the way you think about your Money” he came alive. And when I asked him more questions such as, “How do you ‘invest’ your Time and what is the ‘ROI’ of your Time investments?” He had a breakthrough. I listened with fascination as those seemingly simple and obvious questions created an avalanche of thoughts and emotions. The speed of which he unraveled what was, just moments before, a “Mystery” to him was truly amazing! His mind was able to transfer all his understanding of Money over to Time in an instant. CLARITY was achieved. His excitement and enthusiasm was delicious to my ears! Now he’s joyfully creating “Time Spreadsheets” and putting together his “Time Portfolio”. Time is no longer a “problem” he KNOWS how to work WITH it, His closing remarks to me were; “Time IS the most valuable thing I have and I need to carefully consider how and where I spend it. I see now how I’ve been ‘wasting Time’ and now I know how to ‘invest’ my Time in such a way that will ‘free-up’ my Time so that I have even MORE Time to spend on things (and people) I highly value. It takes Time to make Time and now I can make my Time work FOR me.” So here’s my gift to you today…Ponder this notion: “Time AS Money” and ask your Self “How do I ‘spend’ MY […]"View
