Quantum Activist goes Down Under

February 24, 2010 in Updates by admin

G’Day mate.

BlueDot is excited about the finalization of the licensing rights for the Quantum Activist in Australia; which means the film will be distributed down under by Hopscotch Films. It seems inevitable for the Quantum Activist to go international since Dr. Goswami’s sources and references are themselves international and his message universal.

Australia should make a wonderful venue for the film because like Dr. Goswami’s message in the Quantum Activist, Australia has a frontier spirit. Its cinema conveys this spirit to me with a craving for vistas of distinctly Australian landscapes. Red and endless. Whereas the American West hits me as rugged and heroic, the Australian panorama is primeval – mythic. It opens one up rather than circumscribes. It seems to be a culture with an appetite for expanding boundaries and a land with a mythic presence. Read the rest of this entry →

The Historic Bal Theatre – San Leandro

February 11, 2010 in Updates by admin

San Leandro Bal TheatreFebruary 13th, 7:30pm
Nothing makes us happier than seeing our film in a theater with a new bunch of quantum activists, but there is something that makes it even better…. screening in a renovated and restored historical theater saved from the wrecking ball!

There’s a new breed of theater owners out there, who are taking the leap and restoring and operating these old theaters that we have in Everywhere, USA. Often neglected or abandoned, or superceded by the mega plex at the shopping mall, these icons of americana often represent some of the coolest art deco and hollywood egyptian design ever done. Truly beautiful theaters that should be preserved, as well as have cool movies shown in them.

So we’re very excited to be visiting San Leandro on February 13th for our opening night at the historic Bal Theatre. We’ll be offering up some quantum discussion after the screening to keep these ideas flowing into not only heads, but our hearts and thus society as well. We hope to see you there!

Seattle’s East West Books

February 10, 2010 in Updates by admin

We had  a great screening at East West Books in Seattle last night. (February 10th).Our last public screening at Central Cinemas in Seattle not only filled the house, but left 100 people looking for the next show. After the initial launch of the film in August, we are finally back in our home region with The Quantum Activist.

Many joined the filmmakers Renee Slade and Ri Stewart, along with the pivotal Betsy Chasse, co-creator of  ”What the Bleep do we know?” for a lively conversation after the film about quantum physics, the nature of reality, and our responsibility to it.

Many moviegoers talked about how the film touched them to apply the power of quantum physics into their own lives.  We talked about dualism a bit, but most importantly… what can we do to create a beautiful reality within the co-creation that we are entangled with?   Thanks for coming!
